As per the latest update, Class 10 students will now get two chances to appear for board exams in a single academic year. According to the new system, students will take the first board exam in February. If a student is not satisfied with their performance, they can choose to take the improvement exam in May. The best score out of the two attempts will be considered as the final result. This will encourage students to give their best without worrying too much about failure.

The CBSE has clearly stated that both exams will cover the full syllabus. The exam pattern will also remain the same. This means students still need to study the complete course, but now they get a second chance to do better. It is not a split syllabus or two separate exams, but rather an option to improve marks.

There are also some important rules in this new policy. All students must appear in the first exam. If they want to improve their marks in up to three subjects, they can take the second exam. The results of the first exam will be declared in April. The second exam will be held in May, and its results will be out in June.

Since the board exams are now held twice, all formalities must be completed carefully and on time to avoid any confusion later.

One important part of the policy is about Class 11 admissions. After the first exam results in April, students will be given provisional admission into Class 11. Once the final results come in June, their admission will be confirmed based on their best scores. This system makes sure that students do not lose time in moving to the next class.

CBSE has also said that internal assessments will be done only once, before the first board exam. Other special provisions for students with disabilities, sports students, and schools in cold regions will continue as per earlier rules.
